More than 1,000 fans were waiting for The Beatles at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Airport when they arrived on 8 June. They were allowed to bypass customs and immigration procedures and were swiftly taken to the President Hotel in Kowloon, where they were booked to stay on the 15th floor. Jimmie Nicol, standing in for Ringo Starr on this early part of the world tour. The Beatles also held a press conference at the President Hotel. This exclusive photo was taken by my friend’s friend.
On 9th June 1964, the Beatles performed two shows at the
Princess Theatre in Kowloon Hong Kong. Two instrumental groups
supported The Beatles. They were The Maori H-Five and Sounds
Incoporated. The next day on the 10th, the group and their entourage hopped a flight to Sydney Australia.
You can see two microphones in front of The Beatles. They were the signs of Radio Hong Kong and Commercial Radio. It is a rare and precious collector's item for The Beatles fan!

Ringo wasn't here, but Jimmie Nicol replaced him. The other three members were in good shape!
